Frequent Questions:

How can the organization be maintained with only 7% or less?

SAC does not have full-time staff and the Board Members as well as the Executive Director provide volunteer support with an investment to cover only the administrative accountable expenses for tax reimbursement to the donors, to meet the government requirements and for meetings with the volunteers that support this initiative.

Unlike other organizations, we do not invest money in publicity. We think that our work can be known in the various social networks where other people may be interested in a joint effort.

How do you care for the quality of work in the field and the good use of the resources if the persons that supervise the management of funds are part-time volunteers?

The support agreements with the local organizations are clear and simple; we trust them for their professional work and the evidence of their performance when they deliver their reports. If   necessary we pay for audits to be made in the work areas and we have simple but efficient control mechanisms to control the quality of the performance and the level of impact of the provided support.

What can a person or company interested in the cause do to join this cause?

First of all, we want to be sure that your interest and willingness to support will be satisfied with our activities; therefore we suggest that you contact us. If you are interested in being involved as a company or corporation, we encourage you to write to corporaciones@sac.org  and if you want to be involved as a person, please write to voluntariado@sac.org ; if you want to make a one time donation, you may click here and select the issue that you want to support. If for tax reasons you need a donation certificate, please mention it when you make the donation.

How are the resources assigned directly to the field?

The transparency and simplicity gives us credibility. Every donor can contact directly our local partners and be informed directly about the amount of money that was deposited into their account and get a copy of the report that the local partner delivered to SAC. Guided visits will be made periodically to those areas that receive our support.

Our promise to the donor:

We ensure that 93% up to 97% of the resources managed by us will be invested directly in countries in South America that agree with our philosophy for
humanitarian aid.
